Terminal Construction Projects
The Terminal Modernization project kicked off the fall of 2022 and is expected to open in February 2024. The project will unveil a 30,000-SF addition to the existing terminal that will house five gates, new retail / food /
beverage concession space, as well as storage and airline offices. The project is largely funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and an Arizona Department of Transporation grant. Read more about this project
here. A temporary facility is currently housing gates 1 - 3 on the south end of the terminal, near Macayo's Mexican Food. The outdoor courtyard and former Annex have
been closed for this construction project.
The Enclosed Pedestrian Walkway project is underway and will be complete mid-2024 and will connect the Ticketing building to the TSA Security Checkpoint. The queue for the checkpoint will be greatly expanded in size for our
growing passenger numbers. The project has Door C in the Ticketing building closed to all traffic. It is recommended that passengers enter Ticketing through Door A and exit ticketing through Door B. The entrance to the TSA
Security Checkpoint is currnently through Door D.
