Mesa, Ariz.- The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (PMGAA) Board of Directors has approved a land lease with Gateway Executive Airpark, LLC (Developer) for 12.25 acres in the Gateway Executive Park. The Developer plans to phase the
construction of 3 hangars totaling approximately 185,000 square feet.
“The private development of this impressive hangar complex exemplifies the dynamic growth occurring at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (Airport, Gateway Airport),” said Gila River Indian Community Lt. Governor Robert Stone, PMGAA Chairman. “The dimensions of
these facilities create new opportunities to attract aircraft of all sizes to Gateway Airport. This development will add high-paying jobs and further the Airport’s positive economic impact across the region.”
This project represents a commitment of the last four available parcels of land within the Gateway Executive Park, situated on the north side of the Airport and including Cessna, Embraer, Constant Aviation, and a 70,000 square foot hangar facility under
development by Aviation Performance Solutions (APS).
Steve McKendry, a Managing Member of Gateway Executive Airpark, LLC added, “We are excited to be a part of the phenomenal growth occurring at Gateway Airport. Our hangars are designed to accommodate the newer generation of executive jets as well other smaller
aircraft. The trend in executive jet design is to larger aircraft with greater passenger capacity and longer flight range and there is a real lack of supply of hangars that can accommodate these larger jets. We are confident that our new facility will be
attractive to aviation customers in the Southeast Valley and the Greater Phoenix Area.” Steve Mckendry and Jay Donkersloot are the two Managing Members of the Gateway Executive Airpark, LLC.
