MESA, Ariz. — May 2016 is one for the record books!
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport’s new nonstop flights to Sonoma County, Memphis, Des Moines, and Fresno have proven to be very popular among Greater Phoenix air travelers. These new nonstop destinations, along with Allegiant’s 34 others, helped fuel an 8%
jump in passengers and a new record for the month of May. A total of 107,621 passengers boarded Allegiant airplanes in May 2016, an 8% increase over the 99,863 passengers Allegiant welcomed in May of last year.
“We are pleased with the positive response to Allegiant’s new flights and the record number of passengers from across the region choosing the convenience of Gateway Airport,” said Interim Executive Director/CEO J. Brian O’Neill, A.A.E. “Area residents and
sun-seeking tourists are benefiting from Allegiant’s continued investment in Arizona.”
