An Airport Master Plan is a strategic, long-range planning document that serves as a guide for future airport growth and development. The Plan evaluates current and projected demands, outlining necessary airport facility
expansions and infrastructure improvements over the next 10-year and 20-year planning horizons in a logical and financially feasible manner. The latest update to the master plan was completed in 2020.

Airport Layout Plan
Since the release of the 2020 Airport Master Plan, Mesa Gateway Airport Authority has built-out the various improvements and has made adjustments to a few of the proposed developments outlined in the 2020 ALP. These informal
revisions, commonly known as Pen & Ink Updates, can be made to individual sheets of the ALP drawing set. The latest ALP Pen & Ink Update was completed in December 2024.

Gateway Tomorrow
MGAA has recently completed the Gateway Tomorrow Eastside Terminal Planning Study, which will inform future decisions regarding the relocation of the commercial passenger terminal complex from the westside of the Airport
to the eastside. This study provides essential insights into the required square footage and acreage needed for the new facilities, along with associated construction costs.
