Mesa, Arizona —Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (Gateway Airport) welcomed a record number of passengers through its doors in October 2017. A total of 107,636 air travelers used Gateway Airport during the month, more activity than any other
October in the Airport’s history and a 7% increase over last October. In addition, Allegiant Air will begin service to four new popular destinations in November, including the airline’s first nonstop service between Arizona and Florida.

creates a significant economic impact on the entire region.”

Allegiant Air recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and has carried more than 10 million passengers in and out of the Valley during that time. As Gateway’s largest airline, Allegiant now flies to 45 destinations including
eight new cities added in October and November – Tampa/St. Petersburg, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Louisville, Omaha, Boise, and St. Louis/Belleville.
In addition to Allegiant, popular low-cost Canadian airline WestJet Airlines returned to Gateway Airport in October for the winter season and provides nonstop service to Calgary and Edmonton, Canada.
