MESA, Ariz. —
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority will host Gateway Aviation Day, presented by Eastmark on Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This popular event is free of charge and open to
the public. Gateway Aviation Day provides up-close viewing of aircraft, many aviation exhibits, and lots of family friendly activities.
“We will have over 50 aircraft on display this year,” said Airport Community Relations Coordinator, Patrick Oakley. “Thanks to our corporate sponsors, both
parking and event access are free. The Kids’ Zone, to be located at the Airport’s park, will be a fun area for children to get their face painted, interact with clowns, and play in bounce houses and an air-filled obstacle course. There will be lots of fun
things to see and do.”
Admission and parking are free. Canned food donations, benefitting United Food Bank, will be accepted at the gate.
Gateway Aviation Day activities will include:
• Over 50 aircraft on display
• Aviation exhibits
• Kids’ Zone with multiple inflatable slides and face painters
• Food Trucks
Event parking is located off Velocity Way, east of Sossaman Road. A free shuttle will transport visitors from the parking area to the event site. There
is not an ADA drop off available. However, ADA parking and shuttle service will be available across the street from the event.
