The Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project is a proposal to implement new satellite-based air traffic procedures and make updates to the existing satellite-based air traffic procedures that will help enhance
safety and improve air traffic efficiency in the Phoenix area. More information about the project is available on the FAA's website.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will host four virtual public workshops in May 2026 on the Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project.

No pre-registration is required to attend, but registering will ensure you receive automatic email reminders and access details for the Zoom session.
Spanish translation will be available.
Workshops will cover regional airspace operations, proposed procedure updates, and findings from the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA). There will be plenty of time allotted for the public to ask questions and receive answers.
The FAA will post the Draft EA and an interactive noise mapping tool two weeks prior to the workshops. The public is encouraged to review them in advance to better understand the proposed changes and prepare questions and comments.
