The Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project is a proposal to implement new satellite-based air traffic procedures and make updates to the existing satellite-based air traffic procedures that will help enhance
safety and improve air traffic efficiency in the Phoenix area. More information about the project is available on the FAA's website.

Appendix H. Utilize the FAA's
Phoenix Airspace Noise Mapping Tool to see how these proposed changes may affect your area (the tool models average noise data over a 12-month period for two future years: 2027 and 2032).

Public Workshop
The FAA will host a virtual public workshop for East Valley airports on May 20, 2026 to discuss the Phoenix Area FAA Modernization Project.
