Mesa Gateway Airport Launches "Gateside by TSA PreCheck"
New TSA program allows approved non-travelers beyond the security checkpoint

MESA, Ariz. — Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) has been selected by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as one of 13 initial airports nationwide to offer Gateside by TSA PreCheck, a new program that allows approved, non-ticketed individuals to access the post-security area of the terminal. The program is now being offered at Mesa Gateway Airport.

Gateside by TSA PreCheck enables eligible non-travelers to accompany or meet family and friends at their gate, enjoy Mesa Gateway Airport’s restaurants and shops, or otherwise visit the terminal and go beyond the security checkpoint. Visitors with an approved Gateside pass can proceed through the TSA PreCheck screening lanes with an acceptable form of identification.

"Being selected among the first 13 airports nationwide to launch Gateside by TSA PreCheck reflects the strong partnership between Mesa Gateway Airport and the TSA; and our shared commitment to providing a customer-focused travel experience," said J. Brian O'Neill A.A.E., Executive Director/CEO of the Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. "Whether it's having lunch with a friend or loved one and walking them to their gate, or meeting them when they return home, this new program enhances the travel experience."

The program is administered and managed entirely by TSA, including the application, eligibility, approval, and screening processes. Interested individuals can learn more and apply at tsa.gov/travel/tsa-precheckr/gateside-tsa-precheck. Availability may be limited during peak travel times, and visitors are held to the same code of conduct as ticketed passengers.

For questions about program-specific requirements, including eligibility, applications, approvals, identification requirements, and participation limits, contact TSA at tsamedia@tsa.dhs.gov.
