Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is owned and operated by the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (PMGAA), a Joint Powers Airport Authority comprised of the Cities of Mesa and Apache Junction, the Towns of Queen Creek and Gilbert, and the Gila River Indian Community. The Airport Authority was formed to develop, reuse, operate, and maintain the Airport property and facilities at the former Williams Air Force Base, which closed in September 1993.

Meetings
The Board of Directors will hold regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month during the year 2024; click here for schedule. Meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. and are held in the Board Room (Saguaro A/B) of the Gateway Administration Building at 5835 S. Sossaman Road, Mesa, Arizona 85212. Members of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority may attend either in person, or by audio conference. These meetings are open to the public; dates and times are subject to change.
The Agenda is posted online and in the exterior display case of the Gateway Administration Building at least 24-hours in advance of a meeting.
